It is quite apparent from the number of posts on the forum that our members in the Macclesfield area are disappointed that there has been no regular Group Meetings for a while now and with the December 2009 meeting being cancelled at such short notice (much to the annoyance of those planning to attend!), we are determined to do everything possible to prevent this happening in the future.

Linda, recently appointed Owlss Group Leader for Cheshire and the Northwest, explained "We accept that the Macclesfield Spire Regency hospital's location makes it sometimes difficult to attend when the weather is not so favourable and having a Group Meeting scheduled for every other month is not really enough - We need to hold a meeting at least once a month to provide sufficient support. Both me and Dave are therefore looking to find another venue, perhaps a little easier to get to, for the months when we are not at the Regency."

Our other new Owlss Group Leader, Dave added "Many of those members who's surgery is at the Spire Regency have to travel a considerable distance to attend the hospital so, whilst we intend to continue having meetings at the Spire Regency, we would love to hear your suggestions for an alternative venue that may be more suitable."
